Common questions
General
How do I sign in to VoicePenAI?
You can sign in with email and password, or request a 4-digit OTP code by email. After successful sign-in, you are redirected to your recordings page.
Where can I find my recordings and notes?
All saved recordings appear in your history on the main app page. Open any item to view the transcript and related summaries.
How do I log out?
Open Settings and use the logout action. This signs you out and returns you to the login screen.
Features
How does audio recording work?
Tap record, allow microphone access, and speak. When you stop, the app uploads your audio and starts processing automatically.
What is the recording limit on free vs Prime?
Free accounts can record up to 2 minutes at a time. VoicePenAI Prime supports recordings up to 15 minutes.
How does transcription work?
After upload, your recording is transcribed and cleaned into a readable draft. You can then open the saved note from history.
What does "Generate Summary" do?
It creates a concise AI summary of a selected transcript and saves it with that note for later reference.
Why is the summary button locked for me?
AI summary generation is available on VoicePenAI Prime. Free users can still record, transcribe, and review saved notes.
Payments
How do I upgrade to VoicePenAI Prime?
Go to Prime, choose a plan, and continue to Stripe checkout. After successful payment, your account is updated to Prime.
What if my payment fails or is canceled?
You will see a payment status page with guidance. You can retry checkout from the same plan page.
Troubleshooting
Why do I need to refresh after payment?
Plan upgrades are usually reflected automatically, but account status can take a short moment to sync. If Prime features do not appear right away, refresh once or reopen the app.
Why is my audio not transcribing?
Most issues come from microphone permission, a network interruption during upload, or leaving the app too early. Allow mic access, keep the tab open until processing finishes, and try again.
Why can’t I log in with OTP?
OTP codes are short-lived. Make sure you enter the latest 4-digit code from your email before it expires, then request a new code if needed.
